FPS Coaching Workshops

This professional development training will prepare you to be a Future Problem Solving Coach. Develop your students' analytical, creative, and critical thinking skills, using the 6-step FPS process to address real-world problems.

The presenter will use one of the first two 2026 topics to introduce the creative problem solving model, providing the attendee with a head start to Future Problem Solving 2026 participation.

What will I learn?

  • Future Problem Solving basics for Australia

  • The 6-step Future Problem Solving thinking process. This process underpins each of the Future Problem Solving learning options.

  • The opportunity to try out the Global Issues  component

  • Coaching strategies

  • Organisation of school and student participation in the Future Problem Solving program

What are the benefits of the training?

  • Participants gain an in-depth understanding of the Global Issues learning option and have the opportunity to practice the six-step model in a supportive environment.

  • Participants acquire a framework for teaching and assessing 21st-century skills.

  • Course content meets AITSL standards allowing participants to add up to six hours to their professional accreditation requirements.

  • Participants meet other new and experienced FPS coaches, providing them with an opportunity to develop networks with those on the same learning path.
