PP1 Due 27 March | Steps 1-3 Only

Power up your research on your area of concern with our proposal step 1 prompts and success tips for writing a Community Project proposal.
Distribute the student resource to students and allow them to work at their own pace, or break the modules into sessions to fit your coaching or teaching schedule. Use the facilitator guide to support these activities with younger students and students who have not had instruction in research.
Our POWER acronym guides project research plan development in a clear, easy-to-follow process. Use this tool after students identify an issue to explore and who they may want to impact. Or, start this process to help students narrow their focus if deciding between two or three project ideas.
• P – Plan your research
• O – Organise your sources
• W – Write notes
• E – Edit into a draft
• R – Review your work
After completion, students will be able to develop a research plan using the POWER process and draft an area of concern that meets the requirements for a competitive project (step 1 in the problem-solving process) .
